The Zimbabwean born photojournalist KATE HOLT has been traversing the world with her camera, in search of untold stories -- those very humbling stories from the harsh corners of the world.
Holt currently finds herself in Afghanistan; a beautiful country tainted by war, Islamist fundamentalism and the devastating effects of its opium riches.




Says Holt, “having been born in Zimbabwe and having travelled extensively with my family since then, I have always photographed and had an interest in photographing places I have been.”
She has worked in Bosnia and continued to work throughout Eastern Europe until 2001 when she first travelled to Afghanistan and Pakistan in the wake of 9/11. She then travelled back to Africa and started covering humanitarian issues throughout Africa including Liberia, Congo, Sudan and Kenya.
